Five Fabulous and First Class Bloggers

January 25, 2011 By Erin L. Leave a Comment

Thanks to Trop 50 for sponsoring my writing about fabulous bloggers. This year Trop50 is granting 50 fabulous wishes. Click here to enter for a chance to win $1,000 to help grant a friend’s wish!

Every day I find myself overwhelmed by the sheer volume of totally amazing women in the world.  In the era of social media, I feel lucky to have access inside the lives of so many, particularly in the blogging community.

So when I was asked to think about five fabulous bloggers, I had to stop for a minute.  Five?  I have to come up with just five?  But I know so many!

So after careful consideration, I present to you five bloggers who rock my socks off, are each spectacular in their own special way and who I would like to thank personally for sharing with all of us on a regular basis.

Melissa from Adventuroo
Not only do I have the priviledge of reading her MomComm article every Monday and learning a little something EVERY time, but I actually know Melissa in real life.  FOR REALZ!  We have a fantastic group of social media mavens here in good ol’ Raleigh, NC and she is one of them. If you haven’t been by her site before, I strongly encourage you to do so.  She’s a wealth of information and has adorable kids to boot.

Maria from Mommy Melee
Maria is one of the first bloggers that I remember reading on a regular basis all for me.  When I first started reading blogs, I was doing it for work.  But when I came across her site, I knew I would be back again and again.  She is honest, raw and speaks from the heart.  I have always admired how she tells it like it is. And her 100 things post had me wetting my pants!

Kelle from Enjoying the Small Things
About seven months ago, the graphic designer where I work forwarded me a site and asked if we could find a way to work with this woman.  After reading the heart-wrenching, beautiful birth story of her second daughter (at work, no less! I was a weeping wreck), I was hooked.  Kelle’s writing and photography continually blow me away, as do the amazingly moving songs she features when you visit her site.  It’s really no surprise that she has such an amazing and supportive following.

Mommies With Style
Founded by the ever fabulous, Whitney Wingerd, this shopping/review blog was one of the first I found and there’s a reason it’s still around.  In a time where review blogs seem to be all over the place, I consider this to be one of the originals and, quite frankly, one of the best.  Whitney and her team do their research and provide valuable insight on a variety of products – jewelry, baby goodies, clothes, you name it! It’s a must for all moms in my book.

Rebecca from Girls Gone Child
Rebecca’s been blogging a long time and along the way her goals and ideals have shifted.  But ever along the way, her children have been her muse.  Her writing is beautiful and that never changes, no matter what she decides to do with her blog.  She lets you inside and you feel honored to have entered her world.  She’s a storyteller…and an amazing one at that.  I leave you with her last official post about her son.  I dare you not to be touched to the core.

There are so many other phenomenal bloggers out there. I feel like I could keep writing and making recommendations, but I’ll leave that for another day.

Don’t forget to enter the 50 Fabulous Wishes contest for a chance to win $1,000 to support a friend’s wish. I was selected for this Tropicana Trop50 sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do. I received compensation to use and facilitate my post.
