This past weekend, Hubby and I packed up the bug and headed down to Ocean Isle. The first ever NC Mom Bloggers conference was being hosted by several fabulous NC mom bloggers and the Ocean Isle Inn and I had been asked to be a speaker.
We had a really great time and it was beyond nice to be able to combine work and play and get away for just a bit. I am feeling really uncomfortable these days so being at the beach was a nice distraction.
On Saturday, we heard some really valuable information on building relationships online, how to organize your blog, gaining influence and then I was up. I spoke on the Art of the Pitch and working with small businesses. I hope it was helpful. The main thing I learned is that it’s TIME FOR ME TO STOP TAKING PICTURES. Blech!
I met some really nice people and got to hang out with some friends. Plus, I won a rockin’ diaper bag from Babycenter.com! For those of you who read my diaper bag hoarding post from a few weeks ago, I am now set. 🙂

Glad you had fun! I really wanted to go but the pregnancy exhaustion is just killing me these days, and the thought of packing for a weekend away made me want to cry. So, we decided to skip it. Hopefully next year (?) I'll be up for the trip because I would really love to go to the beach in the middle of winter, it sounds fantastic.
