Stocking Stuffers for the Whole Family

Stocking Stuffers for the Whole Family

If you’ve been following me for some time, you’ll know that stockings are my number one favorite thing about Christmas. It’s always been a big deal in my family and it’s way more fun than the actual presents.

Stockings can be filled with anything you can think of…candy, beauty items, any sort of fun tchotchke you can think of. Some of my most memorable stockings contained lottery tickets, airplane bottles of alcohol and Excedrin. I was set!

For our stocking stuffers, I usually hit up Target, Big Lots or Amazon…and don’t forget the Dollar Store! The beauty of stockings is any little thing can go in them, so get creative.

FOR THE KIDS

Glitter Gel Pens – My kids will draw with these for hours, which means they are always running out of ink. Time to replenish!

Glow Sticks – You can’t go wrong buying a pack of glow sticks and putting a few in each kid’s stocking. You’re guaranteed a few quiet moments as they close themselves in a dark room to play.

Gold Coin Chocolates – I’ll admit that I steal these sometimes. The ones from World Market are SO good.

Band-aids – We never run out. Every year, I buy whatever the popular character is and the kids are always happy.

DVDs – There’s always something new out on DVD, and it fits perfectly in a stocking.

FOR DAD

Shaving Cream – any kind really, you know he’ll need it.

Collar Stays – These are always getting lost, either in the laundry or in our closet. You can’t go wrong with these.

Zippo Hand Warmer – For any guy who spends time outdoors in the winter, this is awesome!

Freaker Feet Socks – These funny socks are fantastic and full of clever puns. Not into socks? Get a beer sweater!

FOR MOM

Earrings – Stud earrings are always welcome, and don’t take up any room in the stocking.

Heat Holder socks – My feet are always cold! I wear socks 24/7 all winter long. These do the best job at keeping my feet warm.

Leggings – Unless you live under a rock, you’ve probably heard of LuLaRoe . I have many pairs and am always looking for more.

Notebook – Moms are always writing things down. I use notebooks for lists, blog post ideas, and more. You can never have too many. Minted and Shutterfly have some cute ones you can customize.

Perfectly Posh Skin Stuff – Lip balm, yummy smelling soaps- all the perfect size for a stocking.

FOR THE GRANDPARENTS

Candy from their favorite decade – I love these gift baskets or small packages. I’ve sent them to my own grandmother and she loved getting to reminisce about candy she ate as a kid.

Custom Christmas Ornament – All grandparents love hanging a photo of their beloved grandkids on the tree. Tiny Prints has a great selection.

Fancy Food – Hit up Trader Joes, Aldi or Fresh Market and you’re sure to find something decadent that grandma or grandpa will love.

FOR ANYONE

Money Soap – What a fun idea! Who wouldn’t love getting a dollar at the end of washing their hands. This is going in both my kids and my husbands stocking.

What’s top on your stocking stuffer list?

I really like the idea of giving candy from the grandparents’ favorite decade as a gift. What a great idea! And I laughed at the “money soap”!
