I adore the holiday season! The smells, the songs, the shopping…every little bit of it.
Ok, that last part is a lie. I don’t love every bit of it. In fact, there is one thing that drives me totally and utterly batty.
Shopping for my husband.
I love this man. I love him with my whole heart, but I detest shopping for him.
Maybe it’s just men in general. I mean, everything they want is EXPENSIVE. There are TV’s (hot on our list!), game consoles, and other electronic gadgets. Golf is NOT a cheap past time (not that my hubby particularly loves it.) Other than that, he never gives any ideas.
Video games are great, but at $50 a pop, you can’t get more than one. And I occasionally will buy him clothes, but there’s always at least one snarky comment about a shirt he doesn’t care for. UGGGGGGGGGGGG! I’m going bonkers, y’all.
Two years ago, we bought our Canon Rebel camera. It was a joint gift and we only did stocking gifts for each other. I can’t for the life of me remember what we did last year. Maybe we decided to go super light and do stockings only again. (Can I still claim pregnancy brain?)
This year we contemplated the TV, but he decided it just wasn’t a smart decision. We’ve talked about fixing up our fireplace so we can actually use it (novel idea huh?) and a few other household projects that we keep putting off. But so far, no dice on a decision.
I’m out of ideas people.
You want to know what the real kicker is here? His birthday is in a week. So I have to get him birthday AND Christmas presents.
Where’s the wine? Send it along with a bit of luck and creative genius.

nothing fun or creative here, but there are a few books or movies that he’s mentioned he likes that I may get. but other than that we don’t do too much for each other.

My husband is bad but my mil is even harder. I get justice when he starts getting difficult her gift becomes his job! 🙂
