Now Hiring – a new structure for 2015

January 8, 2015 By Erin L. 2 Comments

I’m taking a leap in 2015.

Yes, I said I was going to embrace where I am, and I am. But things still have to move foward and that includes this blog.

After much contemplation, I have decided to add a team of writers to this blog for 2015. Over the next month or so, I’ll be finding, hiring and adding a few new people to share a variety of lifestyle topics throughout the year. It’s both a little scary and VERY exciting.

I’m also looking at doing a massive design overhaul.

Big things, people.

Thanks for joining me on the journey!

I get why some bloggers do this – it casts a wider net, draws in a more diverse reader base – but man, I hate it and I wish you wouldn’t. I read your blog because I like YOUR voice, I like hearing YOUR stories, and I don’t really care what a bunch of other random people have to say. I stopped reading Scary Mommy a few years ago for exactly this reason.

I’m sorry, I don’t mean to sound critical or like I’m dumping all over this new venture you’re starting, it’s just a personal peeve of mine. It’s your blog and of course you can do with it as you see fit. Just wanted to offer another perspective on it.

I appreciate your candor. This is just something I feel I need to try. I will still be posting the same amount and the contributors will be a few times a month, not weekly like other sites. There are things I’d like to post about or share and I just never seem to get the chance. I’m hoping this will allow for more ideas to get up on the site.
