My sweet little Miss E won’t eat fruits and vegetables. Well, ok, she’ll eat bananas, but she can’t live off those. She’ll eat yogurt with fruit in it and if we cut up veggies super duper small, she’ll eat it in a bite of pasta or in a sandwich. But if she can see it, forget it. It’s enough to drive me mad.
What’s a girl to do? Make a LOT of smoothies.
In our house, our standard is vanilla yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, a banana, spinach and orange juice. Sometimes we mix it up and only have strawberries or only blueberries. After awhile, that gets a little tired so I’ve scoured the Internet for smoothies for kids and asked friends and family for their favorites as well. I’m ready to try something new.
Here are five smoothies that are on my list to try this month:
Orange Dream (it uses carrots, how cool!)

Do you have a favorite smoothie recipe? I’d love to try it out. At this point, I’ll do anything to get Miss E to get some vitamins into her little system. Let me know in the comments.

My husband is the smoothie junkie and unfortunately the kids will taste them but do not drink them like they are dessert. Maybe that’s what I need to tell them? I have a favorite breakfast smoothie that has oatmeal, craisins, apple, banana, yogurt and a pinch of cinnamon. I love it!
