The short answer is yes, it can.
But let’s back up.
I’ve been a size 9 shoe since I was an early teen. My sister is a 9. My mom is a 9. So it sort of worked out since we could all share shoes should we need to.
I have always been jealous of the size 7 people and even those who wore size 8. While, luckily, I have lots of sassy shoe options, tennis shoes always make me look like I am wearing cruise ships on my feet. Or it looks like I’m wearing clown shoes. Just ask my husband. (He’s so sweet.)
Luckily, my feet stayed the same size through pregnancy number one.
But now? My daughter is almost 18 months old and I’m realizing I need new shoes…and a lot of new shoes at that.
Because I now wear at least a 9.5 and sometimes a 10 in tennis shoes and a few other shoes as well. I cheated my way through summer since most of my shoes are sandals and open-toed.
So I have to buy new shoes. I shouldn’t be complaining right? I love shoe shopping. However, my bank account does not.
With fall fashion and knee-high boots knocking on my door, I’m feeling the pressure. I want to get the biggest bang for my buck and get as many shoes as possible for the least amount of money.
It’s going to be tricky, but I’m up for the challenge.

I was an 8.5 before having kinds but in most shoes I wear a 9 now. It honestly just depends on the fit of the shoe.
Yep. I was 8.5 prior to being prego and now I’m a 9. What a bummer to lose all the shoes! I donated a ton of pairs after my first child was born.
Oh that is a mixed blessing, isn’t it? LOL!! I love to shoe shop as much as the next woman but I wouldn’t want to replace all my shoes either. And shopping for larger sizes can be challenging. My mom is a 9.5 narrow — do you know how hard it is to find 9.5 NARROW!? LOL!! Good luck!
I’m a size 10 or 10.5, even 11 in some shoes! The trick is to shop the sale rack since no one EVER takes home shoes in that size. I regularly score cute shoes from Banana Republic this way.
