Thursday was a much more typical day for us. The kids started out with a little Diego on my bed, while I got ready for the day.
After dropping of the kids at school (yes, E had to wear her princess dress to school because she wanted to show all her friends) I went to meet a former co-worker who gave me SIX bags of boy clothes and two bags of shoes. OMG! How awesome is this?
E has had no accidents the last two days (WOOHOO!), but has started to realize that if she says she has to potty, she can delay nap and bedtime. So today at nap, it took a good 30 minutes to get her down. I finally put the potty in her room and told her she had to stay in there.
After nap, we had to go get the kid’s flu shots. That was fun. I requested two nurses so we could tag team it, but E’s nurse was on a 15 second delay. Of course, A screamed bloody murder, which promptly made E burst into tears. Luckily, the tears were short lived and they managed to survive enough to go to Target and pick out a present for being brave.
We got home and the kids played with their new toys while I got dinner ready – chicken pot pie – YUM! Of course, they had to stop and help. Then Jason got home and I was able to go through the kid’s backpacks for any important papers from the week.
We ate, we read stories, and got the kids ready for bed. As I left E’s bedroom (to sit in the hallway for 5-10 minutes) she tells me she has an itch. I go in and help her scratch it. Then a few minutes later, she say she’s cold. I go back in, get her all tucked in snug as a bug and tell her good night and that I’m not coming back in anymore. A few minutes later I hear “Night night mommy, I wuv you.” Then silence. Love that kid.
After that, I grabbed my computer to work a bit while the hubs watched Ultimate Fighter. Tomorrow is Friday. Praise the lord. I’m ready for the weekend.

Aww I love the picture of the hubs reading to the kids. That’s a perfect example of the moments we rarely capture but that are part of daily life! And A’s face in the back seat of the car is hysterical!
Sounds like a lovely day. I LOVE “I wuv you” – ahhhhh 🙂 I love the pic of E helping cook, too.
