Sorry I haven’t been around much this week. It’s been a crazy week at work, the baby isn’t sleeping so well and we’re potty training. Sounds like fun huh?
Bug is actually doing amazing. On Sunday, I just decided to put him in underwear and then on Monday we threw him to the wolves. (Actually we just sent him to school with underwear only.) One of his teachers looked at me like I was crazy, but I knew it was time. He’s been going to the bathroom in his little potty at night since SEPTEMBER. I truly felt like he would just pee in diapers/pull-ups forever unless we forced him to change.
First day I brought home three pairs of wet clothes, Tuesday and Wednesday there were only two and yesterday, he only had only a wet pair of pants and it’s not because he had an accident. He missed a bit while actually sitting on the potty. Then when we got home we had a minor miracle. He told us he had to poo. I am beyond proud of him.
I am sure there will be set backs and of course, we now have to navigate the waters of nap and night time, but I’m not going to push it. If he can be dry on most days, I am a happy mama.

Then there’s Miss E. My beautiful THREE MONTH old baby. How did that happen? She is smiling and talking up a storm these days. It’s adorable to hear all the noises she makes. Unfortunately (for me), she must be gearing up to hit some sort of milestone or going through a growth spurt because this week has been rough in the sleeping department. She had finally made it two nights in a row where I only got up twice…but then we went right back to every 2 hours. Last night was fun. She woke up at 1:00, ate and went back to sleep. Then she woke up at 2 and was up until 3:30 fussing and talking. I can’t sleep through that, so I was up. Then she woke up at 4:30 and then her brother woke her up at 6:30. She’s due for a long nap right? Not so much. She’s sitting in her swing right now just jabbering away.

In big news, I’m about to make some major changes to this blog. I’m switching over to WordPress and with that move, I’ll be rebranding the site. I hope you’ll stick along for the ride.

I am also having a blog-bare week and I just think that sometimes it happens. Congrats on the potty training!!! Oscar loves sitting but has never gone so we wait and wait. Also, have I told you about the book The Wonder Weeks? It's SO helpful in navigating babies first year of changes. I practically lived by it when trying to figure out Oscar. Annnnd, can't wait for the new site reveal! What a fun week! (minus the sleep deprivation)
