If you look in my closet right now, you’ll probably find at least seven different pair of boots. I have several knee high boots, which are quintessential fall to me, plus a pair of UGGS. My daughter has several pairs as well, including her first pair of cowboy boots that we scored a few weeks ago. Y’all, I can’t even; they are ridiculously cute.
I’ve been dying to get a pair of booties with a heel. They aren’t remotely practical at ALL, but a girl needs at least one totally sassy pair of shoes. I feel very strongly about this. The trouble with boots is that they tend to be pricey. Or at least the ones that I like always are.
Enter Rack Room. It’s a store I’ve shopped at 100 times, but always on a whim, never with purpose. I was offered a chance to “style” a pair of their shoes. Um, twist my arm here!
I scoured their site and was totally set on this one practical pair when I had a thought. Why not pick out the sassy pair? So I snagged these Angel booties from X-Appeal.
I also grabbed a pair of black knee high boots from KidsFeet for Miss E wand thought we’d have a fun little photo shoot to showcase our fall style. She loves clothes and shoes almost as much as I do (yes, I know I’m in trouble!)
My first outfit consisted of a Pico top that I got at Apricot Lane and Liverpool Jeans from a summer Stitch Fix. Miss E’s dress is from the GAP. When it gets cooler, I’ll probably pair her boots with leggings and tunics.
Then I got to thinking about my upcoming anniversary. We’re headed to the mountains in a few weeks to celebrate and plan on having a few nice dinners out while we’re there. I definitely need an outfit that will showcase my new sassy boots.
So I found a dress from Old Navy that I got last fall and paired it with a pair of black tights and my boots. I threw on some earrings and grabbed a bracelet (both from Versona) and called it a WIN!
Seriously, I am totally in love with these shoes. I would probably wear them to the preschool playground if the heel wouldn’t sink in the dirt. Not practical, but totally fun and fabulous.
What do you think? Which shoes would you have picked?

I received two complementary pair of boots from Rack Room in exchange for this post. No other compensation was received. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh Julie, it would be TROUBLE. Just this morning we argued over which boots to wear with her dress. SO opinionated.

And Miss E….she’s so stinking cute in her boots!
