Oh, hey USA! Think before you speak.

I’m not a particularly political person. In fact, I am pretty apolitical.
With all the hubub and nastiness going around with the election, I am totally ready for November 6 to come and go.

Don’t worry; I vote. And the hubby and I will discuss some political issues here and there, but we didn’t watch either National Convention. I do my best to avoid CNN, Fox News and MSNBC if I can help it.

So how do I get my political “news?” Um…well (she says sheepishly) The Daily Show actually.  I totally adore Jon Stewart and his ability to ask people really tough questions.

In their coverage of the conventions, they produced two EXCELLENT segments that had me yelling at the screen — “DO YOU HEAR YOURSELVES PEOPLE?”

Both the Republicans and the Democrats are guilty of talking and not listening. Seriously.
Take a look at these two segments to see what I’m talking about. They are just a few minutes long.

The Party of Inclusion

The Republican Platform

Completely aggravating right? Can they not hear the irony in the utter ridiculousness that is coming out of their mouths?
Apparently not.

I’m going to crawl back under my rock now until November…but if you see me out and about and have something political to share, make sure you say it to yourself first to ensure it actually makes sense.

KTHANKSBYE.
