I know. I know. I’ve been MIA. Have ya’ll missed me?
I have lots of posts to get caught up on this week, but for today, we’ll put up my weekly appreciation list.
This week I am thankful for:
1) THE BEACH. We spent 3 glorious days in the Outer Banks this past weekend and relished in the sun and heat. I didn’t get nearly enough sun, but am so grateful that we had the opportunity to go.
2) My husband’s sense of humor. He is seriously ridiculous. Most of the time, I roll my eyes with a stifled giggle. This past week, I have literally had cramped sides because he’s so funny.
3) Cookies. Sometimes you just need them.
4) My mother. I came home from the beach and my kitchen was clean. WHO DOES THAT? My mother, who was only supposed to check on the cats, that’s who!
5)The ability to feel. I know this is a weird one, but it’s true. I think sometimes we all get caught up on feeling sad, annoyed or nervous, but it’s a truly beautiful thing to just let life fill you and allow you to really feel all your emotions. Last night I was watching So You Think You Can Dance and one of the auditions moved me to tears. I was totally struck by how lucky I was to just sit there and soak in the beauty of what I watching.
