Wicked Cool

July 23, 2008 By Erin L. Leave a Comment

So last night for the first time ever, I was very confident I was feeling the baby kick and move around and not other strange things in my body. Little man was pretty active for about 45 minutes last night while Jason and I watched the final two episodes of “Tell Me You Love Me” the most fabulous HBO show ever. Jason was very eager to feel the baby too – but I knew it was probably way too early for that. He kept insisting he felt movement in my belly and while I assured him that he probably did, I also let him know that I didn’t feel it, he couldn’t feel it. He probably was just feeling my heartbeat and other stomach rumblings.

However…..just as we were lying down to go to bed, Jason put his hand on my belly and said “Good Night Baby” and then it happened…one nice swift kick. I turned to Jason to tell him “he heard you” but before I could even say anything, Jason said “I definitely felt something” So a huge grin came over my face and I said, “yes you did because I felt it too.” It was VERY COOL.

I know it will vary for the next few weeks as baby starts kicking and moving more and more – but what a truly neat experience to share with my husband. Grow baby grow! 🙂

That is what I miss most about being preggers…the baby kicks! She was always very active at night, so we would lay in bed and watch her go. I used to say she was having a dance party in my belly. Just wait until you can actually see his arms and legs move across your belly. So awesome!

Awwwwww! I have goosebumps and tears in my eyes!!! That is the best feeling ever, especially when you can experience it with your husband.

That is so great. I remember Rob got the biggest kick out of feeling the babies kick. And seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces when they saw Chloe kick was priceless! Enjoy!
