I haven’t been pregnant for over a year, but regardless I am so excited to be a PAM Blogger for this year’s celebration. Pregnancy Awareness Month is celebrating its 5th anniversary in a major way.
What is PAM you ask? Well it’s an organization dedicated to inspiring women during pregnancy with educational initiatives spotlighting nutrition, wellness, and all around nurturing. On the social front, P.A.M. encourages women to engage with fellow pregnantistas and form supportive “communities” via vibrant social media outreach and live events across the country. The month-long campaign focus on four key initiatives: Education, Exercise, Nutrition & Wellness, and Nurture.
The kick-off event is Sunday, May 6 from Noon-4pm at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles. I so wish I could go. I was fortunate enough to be at the first EVER PAM event and it was fabulous. I can’t imagine what all they’ve done to step it up. This year’s event is hosted by Lisa Loeb, Catherine McCord, Josie Maran, and Anna Getty.
Even if you can’t attend the L.A. event, they’ll be streaming the expert panel sessions on Ustream. Tune in to my Facebook page for details. Or you can check out some of their other events around CA, Chicago and Atlanta.

I had no idea May is Pregnancy Awareness Month and feel so excited to be pregnant during this month. I wish I could attend, I love Lisa Loeb, she is so talented and a great speaker and writer about mothering. I also love her brand of eyeglasses.
I didn’t know it was pg awareness month either, but it’s also infertility month… and that I have a special place in my heart for after losing my first son at 38.5 weeks.
I think PAM is a wonderful way to connect with expecting moms AND dads! Especially for first-time parents, this new and exciting adventure brings up so many questions. The unknowns of what to expect can be scary and intimidating and all of these wonderful resources and information that reach out to expecting parents is awesome!
Pregancy awareness month is a great wayway to empower expecting mamas! I like their social media outreach.
