Fall fashion from prAna – essentials for a work-at-home mama

September 19, 2017 By Erin L. 3 Comments

sponsored postSix years ago, I quit my office job. I can barely remember the days of wearing “business casual” on the regular.

Now there are days I’m still in my comfy clothes (ok, ok, PAJAMAS) at noon. There are days I’m in work-out gear the entire day.  And there are days I actually shower, put on make-up and get dressed like a normal person – normal being jeans and a top.

The summer was a bit challenging fashion-wise. Most days you’d find me in a t-shirt and shorts. But now that fall is here, my favorite season of all, I’m ready to jump out of this little rut I find myself in.

My day-to-day autumn attire is jeans and a flowy top (like Piko) or a sweater. Sometimes it’s leggings and a tunic.

This year, I’ve got something new up my sleeve and it’s awesome.

Meet prAna.

prAna designs clothes for men and women that not only look good but are versatile enough for any lifestyle and any adventure. Their line is made of sustainable materials including organic cotton, recycled wool, hemp, recycled polyester and respondible down. Very cool!

For a work-at-home mama like me, this is the perfect line. Sometimes I need clothes to chill out in; sometimes I want to feel fancy AND comfortable. prAna has me covered.

I was sent the Ellis Popover dress and the Sage Jogger pants. The pants are ideal for early morning baseball games, running errands and general day-to-day activities. They are 96% nylon and have a quick-dry, water repellent finish.

The dress can be dressy or casual, depending on what shoes and jewelry I pair it with. I chose the Dark Plum color, an essential for fall. And ahem, it has pockets!!! The fabric is organic cotton and polyester blend.

I can wear it with booties and bare legs or flats with leggings. I love that I can adapt it to whatever mood I’m in or event I’m going to.

Now that I’m sold on the brand, I’m eyeing the Sybil Sweater in Cargo Green and the Jenna Pant in black. They also have yoga pants I’m considering and bra tops that would be good for boot camp.
