Race to the Edge with new Netflix show #StreamTeam

July 23, 2015 By Erin L. Leave a Comment

My kids are known to get stuck on a television show. And by stuck, I mean obsessed. We went through a huge Phineas & Ferb phase…and then it was RescueBots and Power Rangers. With my daughter, we watched a lot of Daniel Tiger and Justin Time.

Most recently, my son has protested against watching My Little Ponies, but somehow ends up on the couch watching anyway. He hasn’t been watching as much regular TV anyway – he just wants to watch Stampy Longnose Minecraft videos on YouTube.

But now he’s back to the TV for his morning chill time…all due to the new Dragons: Race to the Edge series on Netflix. He loves following the adventures of Hiccup and Toothless, and I’m not ashamed to admit, I watch too!

Race to the Edge

In this series, Hiccup finds the magical Dragon Eye aboard an abandoned ship. He then learns there is more outside the confines of Berk, and that a little curiosity and determination can make every day an exciting journey. In Hiccup’s own words, “this changes everything.”

Both my six and four year old are enjoying the series, as well as the goodies Netflix sent along for us to prepare for the show’s premiere.

The first season consists of 13 episodes and has a Y7 rating. But if your child has watched either of the How to Train Your Dragon movies, they should do just fine with this show.

As a huge fan and customer of Netflix, I am proud to be a member of the Netflix Stream Team. I received a Netflix subscription and a streaming device in return for posting Netflix updates and reviews. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
