If you’re like me, you are constantly on the hunt for the latest and greatest in make-up and beauty products. The older I get, the more my skin changes. I buy a foundation, fall in love with it and a few months later, it doesn’t perform the way it did in the beginning. It’s incredibly frustrating, but it’s a battle I know I’m not the only one to face.
You name it, I’ve probably tried it. I’m currently a MAC foundation girl, but since it’s summer I’ve been foregoing the foundation and just using my Oil of Olay CC Cream and a smidge of MAC powder.
So when I got the opportunity to try a new foundation from L’Oreal, I couldn’t pass it up. Maybe this would be THE one.

Their claim: L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation is L’Oréal Paris’ first makeup with exclusive blur technology formulated to instantly blur lines and wrinkles. Signs of aging disappear as Visible Lift Blur Foundation hides dark spots, large pores and smooths uneven texture so you get a flawless finish you can see and feel.
My results: I’m of two minds on this one. I absolutely love the way it made my skin feel when it was on, but it wasn’t quite enough coverage for me. I have rosacea, so my skin had a nice natural redness to it and it takes a lot to cover it up. I also found that I needed to make sure to properly moisturize before I applied the Visible Lift Blur Foundation. I couldn’t use it as a stand-alone; it definitely required a bit of concealer and power on top. If you have combination or slightly dryer skin, I would bet you’d have better results. I love that it has an SPF of 18 included.
Overall, it didn’t totally work for me, but in a pinch, I would totally use it. It’s $14.95 and available at mass drug retailers across the country.
