No, YOU were out shopping at 8:00 p.m. the night before family photos because you noticed your son had nothing nice to wear.
Oh yes, it’s that time again – time for our family photo (think Christmas cards, gifts for grandparents, etc.) We didn’t do one last year, which I totally regret. I like having an annual photo to compare how we’ve all changed.
This evening we are headed out to our local art museum in hopes to capture a few amazing shots in their outdoor area. It’s going to be cool, so I needed to find some outfits that were cute, stylish but wouldn’t look super bulky. I don’t want us to be matchy, matchy but I do want us to complement each other. So I decided to use cream and grey are our base neutrals, with some pops of color.
Bug had asked for a navy shirt, but for the life of me, I couldn’t find a solid color dress shirt anywhere. I scored the cute cream/navy sweater at Target. Miss E’s cream sweater was a TJ Maxx find from her grandmother. I found the long-sleeve onesie at Carter’s and the jeggings were from Babies R’ Us. My green shirt is from The Limited and the Shadow Sweater is from CAbi.
My husband wore his ensemble to work, so I couldn’t snap a picture. We picked up this grey sweater at Target and paired it with his favorite Banana Republic jeans.
For inspiration, I checked out the following:

Here’s to hoping for some fabulous photos! What are your favorite things to wear for photo shoots?
I’ve linked up with Fashion Friday! Join us.
Those are SO CUTE! I am honestly the worst person at fashion. For photos I go super basic….blues seems to look best on us so we do blues and browns 🙂
I did a family photo of us in the summer and just did the whole white top & jeans thing but some something on Pinterest that, that is SOOO 90’s (whoops). I think they reccomend 3 colours now or something (I saw the pin last night…) but not to wear the exact same thing. Looks like you are all set.
Cute outfits… I’m always so last minute with planning clothes for photo shoots.
