Weekend in My Life: Pumpkins, Hayrides and a Fairly Crappy Sunday

Cheers to the freaking weekend
I drink to that, yeah yeah

So I was totally ready for the weekend but this weekend was not exactly what I’d hoped for. It was DOWNRIGHT exhausting.

Our Saturday started with a quick trip to the chiropractor and a pit stop at Dunkin’ Donuts.  We then hit up Hillridge Farms, an awesome pumpkin farm that has hayrides, a train, a playground and so much more.

Oh the irony in this picture cracks me up

Bug had an amazing time. We got to ride the choo choo train and he was totally stoked to see the conductor. Then we went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch and got to pick out our pumpkins. I really wanted a family picture but Bug would NOT have it. Grrrrr. Oh well, we got some good shots anyway.

Fun with Daddy

I was so happy with the action shots and I absolutely adore this one of my husband.

My Oh So Handsome Hubby

Today (Sunday) pretty much sucked. There is just no other way to say it. Bug was up several times in the middle of the night so hubby and I didn’t sleep. We took turns napping today. I did manage a quick trip to Target, which without children, is my happy place. Hubby was having major back pain and was generally cranky. I don’t blame him but it made for a rough day. Then I did this when making dinner…

Spilled Spaghetti
I about lost it. 1/2 a package of 'sketti on the floor.

The only fun parts of the day were watching Bug play baseball with his grandmother and getting ready for bed. Bug and I were playing kitchen and we had mac and cheese. Then he told me if I ate it all I would get my fruit snacks. After laughing (wonder where he heard that one) he said “now what do we have mommy?” I told him “broccoli and he said “That’s a GREAT idea!” I love that kid.

Hey batter batter

This has been a crazy week. I’m impressed that I actually was able to document as much as I could. Thanks Melissa for the great idea. I hope I remember to capture the everyday more often.

Congrats on making it through the full week– both living it and documenting it. LOL

I love the Daddy picture– looks like he’s totally enjoying the kids. The pumpkin shots are so good! Love Bug’s cheeks {squeeeezzze}!

Sorry your Sunday sucked. We must have been there just about at the same time! I think I left around 3:30!

These pictures MUST be framed somewhere other than your blog. They scream FALL! Sorry about your sucktacular Sunday. I hate having bad days, especially when they happen on a day we’re all home (which seems to be rarer as the kids get older and more involved in… life). I do what I can to learn from the craptastic days, but sometimes, they are simply crap and nothing more… but the next day is usually better. Hope that was the case!

I’ve dropped the entire thing of noodles before.

I’m sorry about your cats. I know that is hard. I had a black cat for several years, and my oldest was allergic to him. I had to find a new home for him, and it was hard, but now that I’ve done it…..I like not having a pet.
