Bloggin’ Mamas are the best.

March 31, 2010 By Erin L. Leave a Comment

Yesterday was A Monday.  One of those days where you just want to crawl into a hole and come back out when all your work is done and it’s at least a new season.  But it ended with such a fantabulously, awesome evening that the entire day was redeemed just because of the time I spent from 6:30 to 9:30.

I have great friends.  In fact, I have such great friends that I feel a smidge guilty that I’m meeting more, wonderful people. But thanks to this blog and to Twitter, I’ve been able to meet some totally cool chicks.  Here in the Triangle, we have managed to have a blogging Girls Night Out once before.  But last night?  Last night takes the cake.

First Ilina from Dirt & Noise arranged for us to have champagne and tour The Lollipop Shop at North Hills.  Who doesn’t love a candy shop?  Not only do they have every candy under the sun (including cricket lollipops) but they also have a cute room in the back that you can rent out birthday parties, wedding or baby showers.  I will definitely be planning a party there in the future.  It’s just such a cute place and the owner was so nice and so gracious.

Then ten (yes TEN) of us RDU Blogging Beauties marched ourselves over to Mura for sushi.  YUM!  We were quickly joined by Sarah from the new WRAL blog, Go Ask Mom and for the next two hours, we just gabbed and gabbed like we’ve been friends for years.  Plus, our server was hilarious and the food was fantastic per usual.  It made for the perfect end to a fairly crappy day.

Had such a blast! I agree — it was as if we'd known each other for years. So nice to meet you and discover an "it's a small world" connection!

And, Andrea, you MUST join us next time. Would love to meet you IRL!
