I remember all the stories when I first got pregnant. “Oh you’re going to forget things.” “You’ll do really stupid things.”
Pregnancy Brain. Placenta Head. It’s a real phenomenon. But after I had the bug, I figured I would just “get smart” again. Apparently that’s not the case.
In the past few weeks, I’ve forgotten a few bills (thanks to my husband for catching them) and I forgot a friend’s birthday. WTF? I worked at Hallmark through the end of high school and college. I’m KNOWN for sending cards on Halloween and other “lesser” holidays. I send cards for no reason. TO FORGET A BIRTHDAY??? That is utter blasphemy to me.
So either your full brain never comes back after pregnancy….or I’ve just gotten mildly stupid. Awesome.

I seriously have the same problem. It sucks! I chalk it up to the 1000's of new things I have to think about. You know, all the kid schedules, healthy meal plans, developmental skills, previous illnesses, etc. I mean, I have a whole other person's worth of thoughts. Somethings got to give, I just wish it wasn't the obvious stuff like the day I forgot to choose a pair of shoes from the ones I was trying on. Instead I went to the grocery store with mismatched shoes. Fabulous!
