My darling Miss E,
I honestly cannot believe that four years ago I was just starting to go into labor. You bring so much love and light to our family. I am so proud to be your mama.
You have grown so much in the last year. You can spell and write your name. You can count to 20…well, almost. You tend to forget 15 and 16. Four seems so big to me. You asked me the other day if I’d still be able to pick you up when you were four. I promised I could. I can still cuddle and hold you close, but you don’t fit as snuggly up against me as you used to. How did time pass by so quickly?
Princesses are your life. Frozen still rules the roost in our house, but Sleeping Beauty is close behind. You love to recite Maleficent’s lines from the movie. “Touch the spindle. Touch it I say!” Dressing up is your favorite past tim and you’ve never met a dress you didn’t like. Pants? Forget it. Unless it’s leggings (to go under a dress) I can keep dreaming.
Your singing might be my most favorite sound. I honestly can’t get enough. You’ve memorized over a dozen songs this year, including most of the soundtrack to Into the Woods. I just recently taught you “Castle on a Cloud” from Les Mis and you’ve got it down pat.
You started gymnastics in the fall and love it. It’s hilarious to watch you point your toes as you walk across the balance beam. Jumping on the trampoline, launching yourself into the pit and doing forward rolls are now easy peasy.
There is magic in your personality. You are kind and sensitive, but when you are mad, oooooh are you mad! I swear sometimes you could spit fire. Your looks would stop anyone in their tracks and often times, even though I’m infuriated, I have to hide my face to keep from smiling. But that’s what makes you who you are and I wouldn’t change a bit of it.
This is the first year you’ve talked about a boy. You’ve told us you are going to marry him. You’ve told us he’s your boyfriend and you love him. Daddy and I weren’t prepared for this!
What will four bring you? I hope a year of fun, learning and happiness. You are my bright shining star, my love, and I wish you a very happy birthday.

So adorable and what a wonderful birthday letter – Happy Birthday Miss E!!

Too precious!! It always amazes me just how fast they grow. Happy Birthday, beautiful girl!
Oh my word. What a cutie! I love how she’s coming into her own.
