Southern Women’s Show Back in Raleigh

April 13, 2015 By Erin L. Leave a Comment

What are you doing the weekend of Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26? This spring, the Southern Women’s Show celebrates 30 fun, flirty and fabulous years in Raleigh with its most amped up shopping and lifestyle event yet. Tickets are on sale now where fans can shop and experience more than 400 different clothing, beauty, food and other various brands. Attendees will also receive special discounts, giveaways and exclusive offers, along with enjoying celebrity guests, cooking demos, fashion shows and more.

I am a huge fan of this show. If I’m in town, I go. Usually I grab my mom, but sometimes I just plan an afternoon of shopping by myself. A few years ago, I was even in one of their fashion shows!

Last year, I got an amazing skirt. This year I’m on the hunt for an outfit for the upcoming Mom 2.0 Summit.

Headlining the weekend’s entertainment is reality TV star Randy Fenoli from the TLC network hit show “Say Yes to the Dress.” Fenoli will leverage his bridal and fashion expertise to empower women to “say yes” to being their best in all aspects of their lives. Actor Peter Facinelli, star of NBC’s “Odyssey” (premiering April 5), Showtime’s “Nurse Jackie,” and the hit movie series “The Twilight Saga,” will take the stage Saturday at noon to share a behind the scenes look at his projects as well as participate in a Q&A session with attendees. Celebrity hair stylist Michael O’Rourke will randomly select women from the crowd to transform their looks with dramatic new hairdos in a live demonstration. Those looking for love will appreciate local matchmaker Angela Kelley’s presentation on how to find love after 35. Other performers and presenters include national recording artist and Gospel Queen of Neo-Soul Cynthia Jones, Ms. Glitz The Entertainer, every little girl’s favorite Snow Princesses from Frozen and Triangle fashion blogger Molly Stillman from “Still Being Molly,” to name a few.

For the first time in Raleigh show history, there will be a cash bar throughout the weekend. Little Black Dress Wines, the official wine sponsor of the Southern Women’s Show, will offer free samples from its exhibit space.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at an advanced discount of $10 online prior to the show or $8 at local Walgreens locations starting March 23. Tickets can also be purchased for $12 at the door. Tickets for children ages 6 through 12 are $6 and children under the age of 6 can attend free of charge with a paying adult.
