A has been looking forward to Wednesday all week because it was his first field trip. His class went to the Farmer’s Market, ate a snack and picked out a pumpkin. I was bummed to miss it, but I couldn’t chaperone because we can’t bring siblings. Next field trip is supposed to be on a Thursday, so hopefully I can go while E is also in school. (I asked for some of the other moms to take some photos, but A is very anti-photo these days.)
While he was gone, E and I went to see my sister at Pump It Up, where she is the manager. We jumped a little bit and then got A’s 5th birthday party all taken care of.
We had a pretty typical afternoon complete with time outside. It was ridiculously windy and we tried to fly a kite to no avail. A is also obsessed with Tic Tac Toe, so we played about 10 games and then decided to head inside. I then managed to put Em’s hair in PIG TAILS. So cute!
It was also Jason and I’s 9th wedding anniversary. My sister and mom took my kids to Red Robin for dinner, while Jason and I hit up Waraji for a little sushi. We tried to take a family photo before we left, but as I mentioned, A does not love having his photo taken. So we got a few with silly faces and one running photo bomb.
We did a lot more, but I did a terrible job of keeping track of it all, must less taking photographs. Tomorrow I’m going to do better.
