First, let me start by saying that I love being home with my kids. I am incredibly grateful to be able to spend this time with them and watch them grow.
But some days I miss having full-time work. I miss the creativity. I miss chatting with colleagues over a cup of coffee in the break room.
I miss the juvenile product industry.
I was a part of it for six years. The industry is amazing – full of great people. lots of ideas and innovation and fun, fashionable products that try to make parent’s lives easier.
I don’t want to let it go.
I am fortunate to be able to keep tabs on it by writing about products for sites like BabyCenter. The writing allows me to stay on pulse with trends and happenings. While it’s not the same as it was, it makes me happy and works for now.
But in a few years, I want to be able to jump back in it full-force. It is my hope that I can find a company who needs help with marketing, social media and event planning, and thinks I’m a perfect fit.
I miss the craziness, the hustle and bustle.
But Vegas is quickly approaching! I can’t WAIT for the ABC Kids Expo in October. It’s my time to reconnect with my people and learn about all that is new in the industry.
