My darling Wonderbug,
I see you watching those big kids. Your eyes are glued to them at the park, the mall, at school. You so desperately want to play with them.
To Run.
To Jump.
To Climb.
To Play Baseball.
To do EVERYTHING that they are doing.
A huge smile erupts across my face as I think of you yesterday “Hey! HEY!!! Wait for me guys. I can do it TOO!”
All in due time my son. You have your whole life in front of you. All too often we find ourselves wishing for the next big moment, but that’s wishing our lives away.
You are perfect right where you are.
Some days they will play with you. Like the boy yesterday who let you play with his basketball and grinned while you chased him. Other days, they may not. You might encounter a mean boy or girl. And my heart aches knowing that is coming.
But for now, sweet boy, keep trying. Keep growing. Keep being. You are my little boy and I want to keep you that way as long as I can.

They are growing up too fast.

My girls are emotionally young and they still act more like toddlers at time now. Many times I don’t mind because these are going to be my only kids and I want them to stay young as long as they can!
