We got off to a better start today as Bug didn’t wander into our room until 6:15 — woot! We played on the bed for awhile and then I actually had to get moving as I had a morning doctor’s appt and my sister was coming over to watch the kids. So I was actually showered and dressed WITH make-up before 10 a.m. That’s impressive people.
While I was out, I took advantage of having a sitter and swung by Starbucks and the grocery store.
Naps were good today (thank the lord) though they didn’t overlap. Baby was up (damn 45 minute intruder) the second Bug fell asleep. I then decided to dress her in an awesome outfit my aunt sent her that we have no where for her to wear. So I played photographer and went a little crazy.
She did end up going back down an hour later and I managed to watch an episode of GLEE. Once everyone was up, we tried to take a walk outside, but it was pretty bleh. Spent 10 minutes running around with the neighbors and then had to come inside due to misting.

I started dinner early because we thought we were going to watch Daddy play kickball…but it was raining by the time we should have left, so we went back outside and I let Bug splash in the puddles…what little there were.

This led to my favorite moments of the day…
By the time Daddy got home, I was exhausted. Kids were both happy to see him. Baby Girl got her quick 5 minutes with him and then it was off to bed.
Bug needed a bath…so we had another late night with him. Pre-bath we had a time-out episode that was started with a scream that only dogs could hear and ended with a lot of fake crying. We finally got bath done and teeth brushed…and then comes naked dance party. Don’t worry, it’s just him that’s naked….and he actually is in his underwear. (Why we started this tradition AFTER bath when we’re supposed to be calming down I’ll never know. Dumb.)

Then it was story time with daddy and lights off….around 9. Uggg. Of course, I went in for last minute stories and scratchies (we are a HUGE back rubbing family) and got loads of kisses before I finally left. So cute.
Goal for tomorrow: more pictures of me.
Best exchange of the day:
“A, we need to pee pee before we go to daddy’s game.”
“Why, it have yucky bathroom?”
“I don’t even know if it has a bathroom; you might have to go into the woods.”
“OH!! I DO want to go in the woods. I DO. I DO.”
(not what I had in mind when I said that.)

Classic that A wanted to potty in the woods!! All boy 🙂
My boys would be much happier peeing outside than in the toilet… glad I’m not alone in this one. Haha!
Love this.
And so remember the 45 minute intruder. I used to curse him a lot.

Why do boys love peeing outside so much? After my son had to pee outside for the first time (I-40 to Wilmington, not a gas station for miles), he gets back in the car and says “I liked that!”
Our neighbor boy peed on our tree the other day. I’m fearful that he’ll think it’s a regular spot to do his business. 🙂
My dude’s a rock collector too. Finds them and shows them off EVERYWHERE. Also, love the duck walk.
