As I’m sure you all have realized, life is a tad hectic these days. My prime writing hours are now spent in what little sleep I can capture before I’m up nursing my sweet one again. Therefore, the poor little blog is lucky to see one post a week.
I know I have things to say but lately when I open up my browser….my mind goes blank. I seem to lack all creativity when it actually comes down to putting things on the screen. And then Jessica Rosenberg gave me a kick in my blog. No really! She started a new site called Kick in the Blog that provides writing prompts. VOILA!
And here I am today….ready to tell you what I LOVE to do. Her prompt was inspired by the fact that we always ask people “What do you do?” vs “What do you love to do?”
Here goes…
I love playing make believe games with my son. His imagination has just taken off lately. Last Friday we spent AN HOUR running from Captain Hook and putting the crocodile in timeout for trying to bite our toes. It was adorable.
I love getting a pedicure with a girlfriend. What could be better than catching up with a good friend over coffee or wine and having someone rub your feet at the same time? Heaven.
I love to sing. While I don’t have a regular outlet for this (unless you count a regular rendition of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and No More Monkeys Jumpin’ on the Bed) I still sing constantly. I’ve even been known to sing sentences and words when I get annoyed. Music makes me happy. What can I say?
I love being a resource on marketing and social media. I am grateful that friends and colleagues turn to me for advice. It’s a fun field to be in and love that I get to make a living doing it.
I love being goofy with my husband. Deep down, we are total dorks. And I love it. We have the most fun together when we are just being silly and not taking life too seriously. I am lucky to have found someone as goofy as me.
And I’ll end with this….I love spending time with THIS FACE (look how yummy and squooshy it is!)
How could you not love that face!
Now I want a pedicure!!
