I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to participate in this week’s challenge as both my husband and I have been under the weather. But tonight, even though it was with my iPhone and not our snazzy Canon, the Bug gave me something worth shooting.
He LOVES his blocks! When he wants to build, he always tells us “Big Base!” (He gets so angry when he stacks them one right on top of another and it falls easily. We’ve been trying to teach him that he needs to build a base first and then he can build higher. Guess he only got one part of that lesson!)
So this week I give you one of our favorite toys…fresh out of the bathtub before bedtime.

My kids have never gotten into blocks. I've always wanted them to, but no luck. I love that he says big base! Too cute!
Looks like you've got a little construction worker in the making 🙂 He's good! My kid is more interested in putting two together and then taking them apart.
So adorable! He looks like he's gotten a haircut too! Evan still doesn't understand the big base concept. We're working on it 😉
So cute! Oscar hasn't mastered that type of block just yet. He loves building and crashing towers with regular ones though and is just starting to get frustrated when it falls before he is ready 🙂

Isn't "big base" a great lesson for life in general, though? We can't be reckless when we're trying to accomplish important things.

He is quite the architect! Mine gets too frustrated before he can build anything very tall!!
Blocks are the best. As my kids got older we just got more intricate sets… heck, I'm happy to throw down with the rest of them and build something. Good for you on so many levels!
