Dinner time at our house is hectic to say the least. I pick the Bug up from school around 5:30. We’re home by 6 and inevitably, I have to make dinner. (You would think I would learn to prepare in advance, but no.)
A typical evening ends up with me frustrated, the bug crying and both of us praying daddy will come home soon so the Bug can play and I can cook. Hopefully there will be no more tears and whining…We just got a Learning Tower!
Full disclosure: I first learned about this product at a trade show probably over four years ago. The owner is a good friend of SCI’s CEO. So I knew that it was fabulous and that someday I would have one for my child.
The Bug is just at the age where they start recommending use so it depends on the day whether he wants in or not. But our first evening was a smashing success! He stirred and stirred and stirred, all while I made spaghetti.
The thing I love most about the Learning Tower is knowing that he’s safe. He is at the age where he’s constantly trying to climb on things and now instead of having to stand on a chair with me behind him, he has his own little space. Plus, he wants to be a part of everything and now he can be without me having to hold him the entire time.
I’m totally stoked to see what kinds of fun projects and things we can do with the Learning Tower. If you have one, please share your thoughts and ideas.

Second – the Learning Tower is one of those things that I've been wanting to buy, but Kevin keeps insisting that he can just make one. However, by the time he gets around to that, CC and CH will be taller than both of us and will be reaching the counters just fine.
I think they are awesome. I love that Bug is getting to help you in the kitchen now 🙂
A friend of mine has one and loves it. Might be something that I should get for the next one. By the way, did you get my message about the bumper things that you used in the Bug's crib? Let me know.

Your new blog design is great. The learning tower sounds fantastic. Does it look big enough for two? Inevitably if Scott is helping me do something in the kitchen then Dylan wants to join in. Two toddlers on one little chair is an accident waiting to happen.
This looks like a very useful product! I like that your little bug can help you out in the kitchen. Have you tried it out in the bathroom yet? (As in teaching bug how to groom himself, brush teeth, etc in front of mirror?)
