Slow Down Nelly

April 20, 2010 By Erin L. Leave a Comment

My body hates me. Or at least I think it does.
April is proving to be one of our busiest months of the year at work and where am I right now? At home. Feeling like utter poo.

I thought it was allergies. But alas, I think it’s a heinous cold type virus.
I want to scream from the roof tops “WHY ME???? WHOA IS ME!!!” However I hate to sound like a brat whiny, so I won’t.

I figure my body is telling me to cool it, take it down a notch and try to get some rest. We have some amazing campaigns and projects coming up and if I’m not up to par, I can forget it. I get that my body doesn’t care that is a major inconvenience for me.

Plus, being sick doesn’t mean my life stops. The major downside to being under the weather as a parent, besides feeling like you are getting more and more behind at work, is the fact that I can’t slow down for the Bug. Yesterday I picked him up at 5pm (a little earlier than normal) and he didn’t sit still until 7:15 when we finally got him in the bath. HOLY EXHAUSTION! Thank goodness for the most amazing hubby on the planet. I slept 10.5 hours last night. That’s a record as of late.

So I get it. I’m pooped. I need to recoup a bit. But please please please let me feel better tomorrow. I seriously have stuff to do.

Please feel free to call on your neighbors!! Bring Big A down here and let him play for an hour if you need too. We are happy to help!
    Hope you feel better soon.

I hope it begins to all slow down so you can rest.
