I work from home so most days you’ll find me in jeans and a t-shirt or leggings and a tunic. That’s just how I roll.
But every now and then, I have to meet a potential client for coffee or have an actual business meeting and that requires real clothes. So when Chadwick’s of Boston wanted to send a few bloggers their boyfriend sweater vest for a spring style challenge, I thought “let’s see what I can do” and accepted the challenge.
I chose the navy as that is my color of choice these days. I LOVE navy. I incorporate it into my handbags, my jewelry and wear it an average of 3-4 times a week.
Now what to pair the sweater with? I immediately gravitated toward jeans and a white button down tunic complete with my favorite TOMS booties. However, the super fashionable Ellen from That Chic Mom beat me to it. (So you can be sure it’s a good look.) After digging through my closet a bit more, I decided to showcase a dressy casual look. This outfit would be great for a day date or any coffee house meeting. I found some fun spring palazzo pants and a white blouse from The Limited. My navy wedges from Aerosoles completed the look, along with a tassel necklace and, of course, a KEEP Collective bracelet.
It’s comfortable, I feel cute and it’s great for spring-like weather. If it’s a bit chilly, I can always swap out a long-sleeve shirt. A huge thanks to Chadwick’s of Boston for sending the sample and allowing me to have a little fun, and to my seven year old who had to play photographer. I think he did okay, even with some of our lighting challenges!
I have teamed up with some very stylish bloggers to share different ways to wear a sweater vest this spring. Each of us are doing something different, how cool! Click on over and see…then come back and tell me how YOU want to wear a sweater vest, like the one from Chadwick’s of Boston, this season!
