There’s only one month left before my first born starts kindergarten – that baby boy that I spent years praying, wishing and hoping for. Time seems to have flown by at a speed I can barely comprehend.
He’s ready. I know he is. I’m ready too…I think. We’ve hit up Walmart for all our back to school supplies. The dining room is full of pencils, glue sticks and composition notebooks. He even needs to bring a stylus and a set of headphones (how times have changed!).
I’ve spent a few days going through all his dresser drawers, trying to figure out what still fits and what doesn’t. He was excited to know that we’d be going school clothes shopping. Yes, I said excited. This may be the one and only year that happens, but I’ll take it.
Our standard go to places to shop for school are Carter’s and Old Navy. Unfortunately, we don’t have an Osh Kosh B’Gosh store in Raleigh. However, they are having a big sale so we had to check it out online.
We spent about 15 minutes combing through the Osh Kosh site. I would show him a few things I liked and he would either nod in agreement or shake his head with a vigorous no.
I turned to my Must-Haves List from OshKosh B’gosh for Back-to-School to make sure we weren’t forgetting anything
We absolutely went with a pair of classic fit jeans for him. Fall will be here before we know it, and for $10 and $12, you can’t beat the price. Besides, denim is always in style. For girls, choose from denim skirts, shirts and jackets. For boys, new skinny jeans or classic fit denim pants.
2. Girls TLC – Tunics & Leggings Collection
Ok, so clearly NOT for my little man, but I do have a three year old daughter who is going to need some new clothes for preschool. She lives in dresses, tunics and leggings so I had to peruse all the awesome options here.
All uniform items are on sale – 40% off right now! We took advantage of that with the special doorbuster polos at $7 and $9. Mr A stayed on trend by picking out a camo polo.
4. OKO (OshKosh Original) Tees
Designed by designers in the New York office – colorful, comfortable and collectible tees in new graphics, prints and patterns are only $5-6.
5. Boys Triple Jumper Pant
These are AWESOME with an elastic waist, functional drawstring, ankle zipper and lined with jersey. We bought one pair, but should have purchased more.
Necessary to keep warm with going back to school, but also fashionable to layer! We skipped a jacket this go around, which I’m regretting a little bit. Good thing the sale goes through September!
7. Essential Wovens
Button-down comfortable shirts for both boys and girls. I couldn’t get Mr. A on board with these, but it doesn’t mean I’m not going to try. They are SO cute.
Here’s a peak at a few of the things we got. Doesn’t he look so handsome? (Yes, I’m biased.)
Not only does Osh Kosh have quality clothes, but they also like to give back. This year it’s with the B’gosh Jeanius Campaign. Customers can donate a new pair of jeans or make a cash donation for a great cause. Osh Kosh has partnered with KIDS and Donorschoose.org to help local kids, teachers and schools thrive. All denim donations will be matched with another item of clothing and all cash donations will be matched, up to $50k. This campaign runs through September 17.
