Last night, my sister, cake maker extraordinaire, ventured out of her usual territory and made my husband a giant Reese’s Cup for his birthday. To say it was amazing, isn’t giving it enough credit. It was RIDICULOUS. I don’t even want to know how many calories were in there, but for ten minutes I didn’t care.
Several people have asked for the recipe since I posted photos on Facebook, so here you are peeps. She adapted her recipe from one she found on PimpThatSnack.com. These people totally rock at figuring this out.
The short version:
You need parchment paper, 1 bag and an extra cup of milk chocolate chips, butter, peanut butter, confectioners sugar, graham crackers, and shortening.
Take parchment paper and fold the sides accordion style (easier said than done) to get the zig zag sides like a real Reese’s. Mix1 cup melted milk chocolate chips with a little shortening for the bottom base. Then mix 1 TBS of butter, 4-5 TBS of peanut butter, 3.5-4 cups confectioners sugar, 3/4 cup graham crackers crumbs for the middle. Let it set 10 mins in fridge. Roll it out into a circle that’s slightly smaller than the chocolate base. Then just pour more melted chocolate (use an entire bag)/shortening over the top and sides. Keep in fridge to set again.
Good luck and ENJOY!

I’m pretty sure my kids would die for this. I think I’ll discreetly leave the recipe on the counter and see if my daughter the baker will make it. 🙂
