So yeah, I totally bailed on Wednesday. It was a pretty sucky day and I didn’t really feel like rehashing it. Miss E was diagnosed with her very first ear infection and I was in a FOUL FOUL mood.
But I did capture one hilarious “in the moment” picture. Home Boy was not very happy after the fact but E was SO proud of herself. And Bug is so incredibly adorable in his post-bath pic that I just have to share.
Now on to Thursday.
It was definitely a better day today. I woke on the right side of the bed at least. Since E was still feeling crummy, I kept her home again. We took Bug to school and then hit up Barnes & Noble and Old Navy. Scored a few pieces and then headed home. E was asleep before we got home and barely moved as I carried her up to her room. Sweet thing. I’m hoping tomorrow she’s finally feeling better.
At lunch time, Bug told me to give him “only one carrot” as more than that makes him sleepy. Apparently the ones I bought this time are much thicker than the others and he gets tired from chewing. He asked that I get “small carrots” next time.
Our afternoon was full of cookie-baking, reading and playing outside. All in all, a good day.
The hubs had to work a little late so he wasn’t home for dinner. We ate leftovers and LOW AND BEHOLD, my daughter ate some cooked spinach (which she adamantly refused the night before.) It’s a modern day miracle!
Once hubby was home, it was time for bath then bed. Then I came downstairs to do some writing and work on the computer and hubs sat on the couch to catch up on The Daily Show. I quickly joined him to watch a Tosh Comedy Special and last week’s 30 Rock.
Tomorrow is FRIDAY! Hallelujah!

Thick carrots make me tired too.
The baby ones, though? I can scarf through a whole bag and go “Hey, where’d they all go?”
I hope everyone is feeling better today!

Bummer that yesterday was such a rough day. Hope she’s feeling better now. Cookies and reading and playing outside sounds all kinds of wonderful.

The carrot comment is hysterical!! I love the picture of your feet watching them play outside. And them reading with your hubs?! These pictures are what this week is all about!
Now if only I could be at Zumba tomorrow!
