Let’s just put this out there. I am lazy when it comes to my skincare. I’ve even gone to bed with my makeup on (the horror!) But I want to do better and I mean to do better. So when I was offered the opportunity to try a new natural skincare line called Puristics, I couldn’t say no.
Puristics offers a line of anti-aging skin care, baby skin care and feminine products. All products are free of parabens, pthalates and other harmful chemicals. Pretty cool! With two children, I constantly think about what I’m putting on their bodies, but I don’t give a lot of thought to what I put on mine. Silly, I know.
Their website states the following: “Our exclusive ingredient is created by combining two innovative anti-aging compounds—a yeast ferment and a protein peptide—into one powerful, naturally occurring yeast-peptide complex. We call it the Puristics Peptide Complex, and it’s listed on our labels as saccharomyces/hexapeptide-11 ferment extract. This natural skin care complex works by supporting your body’s own ability to produce collagen, an essential building block to help ward off the visible signs of skin aging. The Puristics Peptide Complex is certified organic by EcoCert.”
Whew! A lot to take in, but I love knowing that it’s certified.
I started using the Intensive Eye Treatment right away. I may be lazy when it comes to every day moisturizing but I take care of my eyes (hello under eye circles, bags and crows feet!). It’s a nice, lightweight lotion and I highly recommend it. They also offer a Revitalizing Eye Cream that I think might be more up my alley since I need all the help I can get these days to not look like a zombie. Less than six hours of sleep will do that to you. Rite Aid, here I come! Their every day Skin Rejuvenating lotion is pretty nice too. I only wish that it had some SPF in it (can you do that without chemicals?)
The last product they sent over is their Night Time Recovery Cream and that wasn’t exactly up my alley. I found it to be too heavy and when I rubbed my face an hour or so later, it seemed to come off in little gel-like balls. But two out of three isn’t bad.
I’m certainly going to go out and try their baby lotion. I’m in search of one that is lightweight, doesn’t smell too strong and WORKS!

Puristics is a little on the pricey side, but totally on par with the Oil of Olay Regenerist line. You can download a dollar off coupon from their website (hey, every little bit helps!). The entire line is available through Drugstore.com and can also be found locally here in town at Harris Teeter and Rite Aid.
*I received full sized samples from Puristics in exchange for my opinions. All thoughts are my own.

the SAME thing happened to me with the night cream! So strange. I agree about the other two though and can't wait to try the baby line!
